On The Boards | Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing a tour of a new modern European home coming to Edina, Minnesota. This post includes a first look at the interior architecture of the home's main level – the living room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, prayer room, mudroom, sunroom and office.
This beauty utilizes several distinct elements of the Tudor style such as steeply pitched roof lines, front facing gables, tall windows, and decorative accents – all organized into a charming but sophisticated home reminiscent of a country manor.
The interior demonstrates a modern take on the romantic, yet traditionally heavy, Tudor style. Ten foot ceilings and large windows make the main floor relaxed, bright, and airy while wood beams, a cast-stone fireplace, and built-ins throughout create a welcoming yet luxurious family gathering place.
Within this home, the details are simple, unadorned, and paired with a natural material palette – mostly wood & stone with white walls and black accents – a perfect blend of modern style and European architecture.
Great clients make great projects!
